“Am Boden bleiben” (engl. Stay Grounded) is a German activist group that was founded in 2018. Aviation is the fastest way to the climate crisis. Even though a little percentage of the world population has the money and possibilities to travel by plane, it has an enormous climate warming impact - affecting mostly those who cannot afford flying. We work on the issue of aviation from a climate justice perspective, organize actions, and try to change the discourse and image of aviation. Our goal is a just transport system, which implies a reduction of flights. We are part of the global network “Stay Grounded”.
