ATTAC (Asociación por la Tasación de las Transacciones financieras y por la Acción Ciudadana, Association for the Taxation of Financial Transactions and Citizen Action) is an international alter-globalisation movement that promotes the democratic monitoring of financial markets and the institutions entrusted to oversee them by means of political debate and social mobilisation.
Besides advocating taxes on financial transactions, it also calls on for a universal basic income in a context of greater social, economic, ecological and climate justice.
