The Free Assange Committee Germany was founded shortly after the capture of Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian Embassy on April 11, 2019. The current members were then looking, independently of each other, for a central contact point for joint protests and actions in Germany. Since there was no such contact point, they decided to create it themselves.
They organize regular vigils and actions for Julian Assange in Düsseldorf, also in cooperation with other activists, groups, cities and countries. They offer help for interested people who want to become active themselves.
The latest information and action dates can currently be found on
Facebook and by newsletter: registration by email to
freeassange@mail.de. In addition, a website is currently under construction.
