The global climate crisis has already begun, the coming years will be decisive! The international climate movement proves that many are ready to fight for a future worth living and stand up to the environmental and social problems caused by capitalism.
It is therefore all the more important to discuss concrete proposals and strategies within the movement in order to build an anticapitalist movement which fights against the destruction of our planet and for social justice.
Together we want to exchange ideas, build up a network and draw up an Ecosocialist Manifesto in Basel from 26 to 28 June 2020!
Two considerations are central from an ecosocialist perspective. First: The social aspect and the ecological aspect are connected and must be solved together. Secondly, social inequality and the climate crisis are consequences of capitalism and can only be overcome if we advocate a genuine system change.
We call on individuals, networks, organisations and trade unions which share these principles to participate in the drawing up of an eco-socialist manifesto. Together we are strong!
